ACCESSIBILITY

At T(ART) Productions, we are passionate about accessibility. Accessibility information for individual events will clearly be posted on each event.

We are constantly looking for ways to improve and grow so that everyone feels welcome, safe, and supported at our events. If you have any suggestions, please get in touch on directors@tartproductions.co.uk.

Safer space policy

All of our events come with a clear policy stating what kind of behavior we won't tolerate. This is to make sure that everyone feels welcome and safe. The policy is as follows:

This is an inclusive space that welcomes people of all ages (18+ unless indicated, in which case younger people must be accompanied by a guardian/responsible adult), genders, sexualities, races, religion, and identities.

We will not tolerate any kind of discrimination including homophobia, transphobia, sexism, racism, ableism, fatphobia, biphobia, femmephobia, interphobia, xenophobia, or non-consensual touching. Any behaviour of this sort will resort in expulsion from the event without refund. Treat everyone with respect and we'll send that love right on back to you 🌈

Building access

We are committed to ensuring all of our events are in accessible venues with step-free access and accessible bathrooms.

Seating is usually unallocated. If you need us to reserve you a seat in a specific area of the venue for an access reason (e.g. near the front or near an aisle) please let us know when you make your booking and we will do our best to accommodate your request. If you are a wheelchair user attending a sit-down show, space will be reserved for you.

Full accessibility info will be available for each individual event.

Financial access

We want all of our events to remain affordable to everyone, whilst ensuring that all of our artists and staff are paid quality fees.

Our ticket pricing approach varies depending on our contract with individual venues. For some shows we offer tiered ticket prices, where people can pay more than standard ticket price if they can afford to, so we can offer cheaper tickets for those who need them. We have also decided to run a NOTALOF (no one turned away for lack of funds) scheme for events which haven't sold out.

Certain events also have pay-it-forward tickets, where people can choose to fund free tickets in full for those who need them. If you're interested in a free ticket to one of our events just drop us an email on info@tartproductions.co.uk - no explanation required!

BSL, audio description, and hearing loops

We are currently trying to source funding for BSL interpretation and live audio desciption at our shows. In addition to this, we have staff members training in BSL and audio description and some of our venues have hearing loops. If you require any of these services for our events please get in touch on info@tartproductions.co.uk.

Relaxed environments

We have received relaxed venue training from BLINK Theatre and have incorporated this to as many of our events as possible. Additionally many of our team are neurodiverse and we use this personal experience to make our events more accessible.

Our classes and social events are all relaxed environments, to reduce anxiety and stress. These are for the benefit of everyone, but are of particular benefit for people with autism, sensory and communication needs, and/or learning disabilities. Attendants will be greeted warmly using simple language, and can move around freely and take breaks as often as they need. They are welcome to engage as much or as little as they like. We also provide fidget toys at our Fruit Salad events to help with anxiety and to encourage stimming.

Please note that although our theatre shows allow people to take breaks as needed, they often include loud music and flashing lights which may be overstimulating for some.

If you have any questions on the above please contact info@tartproductions.co.uk.

Gender-neutral bathrooms

To ensure that bathrooms are a safe space for everyone, we will always make sure there are gender neutral bathrooms available for the duration of our events.
